Wednesday 3/2/2016 - Corowa to Lake Mulwala

2070km - 2010km

We woke early so we are ready to go at 7:30. A routine is starting to form and some changes to how we organise ourselves. A cloudy day with some light rain makes for a nice start. The wind starts mid morning and we are trying to keep warm without getting hot. Quite hard when the wind and rain comes and goes.

This area is full of multiple river courses and we are using the GPS to find the best way through the maze. This means we are going through some narrow and fast channels. The river has widened considerably and is flowing much slower as we get closer to Lake Mulwala.

Lunch at Bundalong and a ride on a JetSki up the river with David. Turns out David's father is helping us around the lake wall tomorrow. We later see David again and he shows us a magic camping spot on an island at the top end of lake.

An early finish allows us to relax a little before a short paddle to Yarrawonga tomorrow. Tinky is trying fishing again. He is the only person on the river not catching fish. Yesterday he was trawling as we paddled down the river not realising that the spinner was bouncing on the top of the water.

We are now sitting around a nice camp fire built by EJ. The cool wind blowing across the lake will make for good sleeping.
